The West Virginia Open may be overshadowed just a tad by the upcoming Greenbrier Classic but this week's event is still huge for golfers throughout the Mountain State.
270 golfers are in the running for the $30,000 purse. Matt Hicks has been around for awhile now and while he has yet to win this event- or the West Virginia Amateur- no one would be surprised to see him hoist the trophy. In fact, many consider him among the favorites.
