Russ Sharp, a member of WVU's athletic department since 1999, died Wednesday following a battle with prostate cancer. Sharp was WVU's senior associate athletic director and worked in the areas of administration and finance.
Sharp was athletic director at Centenary College before coming to WVU. Sharp was a strong leader in the area of athletic facility upgrades at WVU.
