The Charleston Catholic Fighting Irish are back in the hunt for a Class A state championship for a sixth straight year.
The Irish will meet Mingo County's Gilbert Lions on Thursday at 5:30. The Irish enter as the No. 1 seed while Gilbert is the No. 8 seed.
All of the Class A games are Thursday at the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum in the 2010 West Virginia Boys State Basketball Tournament.
No. 6 Midland Trail starts the day against No. 3 Tucker County at 9:30 a.m. The 1 p.m. game will have No. 7 seed Fayetteville opposing No. 2 seed Parkersburg Catholic. The nightcap features No. 5 seed Clarksburg Notre Dame against No. 4 seed Wheeling Central.
