The Sissonville Indians return this week to the West Virginia Boys State High School Basketball Tournament for the first time since 1982. That year, the Indians finished as runners-up in Class AA.
Still a Class AA school, Sissonville will be the No. 6 seed and open the 2010 State Tournament Wednesday morning at 9:30 against No. 3 seed Weir.
Another area team, Tug Valley, returns to the tournament as the No. 4 seed in Class AA. The Panthers play the nightcap at 9 p.m. against Magnolia.
The other Class AA Wednesday quarterfinal round games pit No. 7 Keyser against No. 2 Oak Hill at 1 p.m. Meanwhile, Wyoming East, last year's runner-up and this season's No. 1 seed, will go against No. 8 seed Frankfort at 5:30.
