The Class AAA field for the 2010 West Virginia Girls State High School Basketball features three area teams.

South Charleston, the No. 2 seed, will open tournament play Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. against No. 7 seed Bridgeport. Ripley, the No. 8 seed, will be in the other Class AAA quarterfinal round game on Wednesday facing off with top-seed and defending state champion North Marion. Huntington High, the No. 4 seed, meets No. 5 Martinsburg on Thursday at 11:15 a.m.

The other Class AAA opening round game will be a battle of Patriots as No. 3 Parkersburg South squares off with No. 6 Wheeling Park.

All of the quarterfinal round Class AA games are Wednesday. The Class A quarterfinal round games are Thursday.

Six semifinals are set for Friday with the three state championships at Noon (AA), 2:30 (A) and 7:15 on Saturday.
