The West Virginia State Yellow Jackets were tabbed as the preseason number one before the start of the 2009-10 campaign in the West Virginia Conference.
In the '09 portion, at least, the 'Jackets haven't disappointed racing out to an 8-1 record, including a 4-0 conference record.
State gets the new year going on Saturday (January 9) at home against Shepherd.
