West Virginia had waited a year for revenge with ECU. A big opportunity awaited Marshall in Blacksburg. The West Virginia Conference season kicked off with UC and State facing off. Oh, yeah, and there was the "Collision In Columbus." Check out highlights and post game reaction from these Saturday showdowns.

Also on Saturday, West Virginia Tech defeated Olivet Nazarene, Illinois, 61-38, to move to 2-0 for the first time since 1989 (the year the Golden Bears made the NAIA playoffs).

In the West Virginia Conference, Concord moved to 3-0 with a win over Wesleyan. Glenville downed Seton Hill, Shepherd upended Fairmont and outside league play West Liberty beat Lake Erie, PA.
