Pop: Michael Jackson: Feds Looking Into Drug Connection
LOS ANGELES
The investigation into Michael Jackson's death has gotten deeper. Federal authorities are now looking into the pop star's doctors _ and the medications they might have given him. A source tells The Associated Press that the Drug Enforcement Administration was asked by the LAPD to assist in the investigation. Jackson died a week ago after suffering cardiac arrest at his rented mansion in Los Angeles. After his death, there were allegations that he had been consuming painkiller, sedatives and antidepressants. The DEA can provide additional help in investigating drug abuse, channels of distribution and other resources.


Pop: Michael Jackson - No Memorial For Jackson At Neverland
LOS ANGELES
There will be a memorial for Michael Jackson, just not at Neverland. There had been speculation that Jackson's body would be taken to Neverland for a public viewing and that he might even be buried there. A source says the billionaire who co-owns Neverland with Jackson asked for permission to bury him at Neverland, but the paperwork for the exemption couldn't be done in time. A family spokesman says memorial plans will be announced soon.

Michael Jackson - The Will
LOS ANGELES
Michael Jackson's will gives everything to a family trust. His ex-wife Debbie Rowe was left out of the will. The document that was filed in a court in Los Angeles is seven years old. At the time, his fortune was estimated at half a billion dollars. Jackson names his mother as a beneficiary of the trust and the guardian of his children. If something happens to his mother, Jackson wanted Diana Ross to be the guardian.

Pop: Michael Jackson - Mother Keeps Control Of Items From Neverland
LOS ANGELES
A judge has ruled that Michael Jackson's mother will keep limited control over 2,000 items from Neverland that had been scheduled for auction earlier this year. The judge says he hopes for a quick compromise on what to do with the items.

Pop: Michael Jackson - Album Sales Explode
LOS ANGELES
Michael Jackson is dominating the music charts a week after his death. The top three albums are all Jackson's. "Number Ones" is on top, followed by "Essential Michael Jackson" and "Thriller." Two and a-third million tracks have been downloaded in the US since Jackson died June 25th.

Pop: Michael Jackson - Weird Memorials
Rock Music Scene
Michael Jackson is being remembered in some weird ways. At Legoland, a four-inch-tall likeness of Jackson made out of Legos is being put together. Hundreds of Legos will be used to create a scene where Jackson gets out of a limo surrounded by paparazzi and fans. Jackson will be wearing his white glove and a red leather jacket from "Thriller." Meanwhile, at the Iowa State Fair, a statue of Jackson will be made out of butter.

Rock: U2 Opens Tour With Dedication To Michael Jackson
BARCELONA
U2 opened its 360 Tour in Barcelona with a dedication to Michael Jackson. Bono dedicated the song "Angel of Harlem" to Jackson. The band played on a stage made to look like a space station. They even opened a link to the international space station to talk to the astronauts during the show. The Edge asked if the Earth was really round and one of the astronauts joked that it was "a secret." U2 will play 15 cities in Europe before heading to North America for 20 shows starting in Chicago, September 12th.

Pop: Jonas Brothers: Kevin Is Engaged
NEW YORK
The oldest one of the Jonas Brothers is headed off the market. Kevin and his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa are now engaged. A spokeswoman for the group confirms the pending nuptials. And in a statementm his parents say they are "filled with joy." No date set for the wedding.

Pop/Hot AC - All-American Rejects
MONTREAL
The latest song by All-American Rejects isn't new at all. Tyson Ritter wrote "The Wind Blows" for Gwen Stefani more than two years ago. But Stefani's people didn't like it. So two years later, Ritter rescued the song from the trash and rewrote it. He says he found the chorus "in the bottom of a bottle."

Alternative: Regina Spektor Opens At Number 3
NEW YORK
Regina Spektor's new album "far" has debuted at number 3 on Billboard's Top 200. Spektor is on tour in Europe promoting the album. She'll return to the States with a show in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 11th. She'll appear on the "Tonight Show" on July 30th.
