Grandma's Homestead Maple Nut Easter Eggs From LeeAnn Miller You saw it Wednesday, April 5, 2006 2/3 cup butter 4 oz. cream cheese 4-1/4 cups powdered sugar 1 cup finely chopped walnuts 2 Tbsp. maple flavoring pinch salt Mix the above until smooth. Refrigerate the filling, then shape into quarter size balls. Mold the balls into an egg shape. Lay on wax paper on a tray and refrigerate again for at least one hour. After removing the eggs from the refrigerator, dip them in your favorite coating chocolate. We use Wilbur Premium Chocolate from Walnut Creek Cheese. Lastly, decorating these is a fun option! Grandma's Homestead Coconut Easter Eggs 2/3 cup butter 4 oz. cream cheese 2-1/2 cups fine, sweetened coconut 1-1/2 Tbsp. coconut flavoring 4-1/4 cups powdered sugar Follow same instructions as the Maple Nut Easter Eggs.
