CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Rick Lord, Jeff Morris) – The backlash continues over the Internet documentary “Upper Big Branch: Never Again” that takes a look at what happened inside the mine that fateful day.

Eyewitness News Anchor Rick Lord interviewed former Massey CEO Don Blankenship and asked him what he would say to the 29 grieving families who are once again grieving this week.

"I hope they understand that not only did they grieve, we grieved at Massey Their friends and stuff that were at the mines grieved, and the other people on the other shifts. I'm sure the people at MSHA," Blankenship said. "We all grieved with them, and we feel really bad about it. This documentary is meant to be a tribute to them and to honor them by using the accident that befell them to improve safety for coal miners now."

Attached to this story is the raw footage of Lord's interview with Blankenship.
