Stefano DiPietrantonio photo I’m the newest anchor here at WCHS-TV 8/WVAH-Fox 11.

It’s been a real thrill, returning to my home state to anchor a brand new broadcast, which debuts Jan. 13.

I was born and raised in Wheeling and am a graduate of Wheeling Park High School and West Virginia University (The P.I. Reed School of Journalism). I’m one of six children, from a large, loving Italian family. All of my immigrant relatives landed here from a tiny, farming village called Gallo Matese, Italy, which is in the Campania region and literally means “Rooster Mountain.”

I’ve lived a bit of a gypsy life, having juggled a modeling and music career for years. I stepped away from broadcasting to tour and sing all over the world. I was based out of New York City, but spent a lot of time back and forth between Italy, Costa Rica and countless points across the United States. I have three records to my credit and am working on new music right now. I’m looking forward to exploring the music scene in the capital city and getting out and doing some performing when I have time.

Whether it’s in a song or on TV, I’ve always been focused on telling stories that matter to you, stories that make a difference. I’ve earned a reputation over my 25 years in broadcasting, for consistently getting the big story. If you’ve got a great story, please shoot me a note on Facebook or on Twitter and let’s get it told.

In my spare time, I like to travel, lift weights and stay fit doing anything outdoors. Being Italian, I love good food. Whether it’s homemade gnocchi in my kitchen or getting out and exploring restaurants, I’d love to hear your suggestions on any must-eats here. Where’s the best, strong coffee?

I look forward to being a part of your day every day at 5 p.m.
