Ohio gov: state needs basic control of turnpike
February 07, 2012 2:34 PM

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio
Ohio Gov. John Kasich says the state will never give up underlying control of the Ohio Turnpike but that it would be wrong not to look at options that could earn the state millions.

He says it's worth considering the idea of leasing the turnpike because of the opportunities for revenue for the state.

Kasich addressed the idea of privatization of the turnpike during his State of State speech Tuesday in Steubenville.
