Pickup truck strikes 3 people in Cincinnati

NORWOOD, Ohio
Police say three passengers from a commuter bus in suburban Cincinnati are being treated for injuries they received when they were struck by a pickup truck while transferring from one bus to another.



The driver of the pickup told police that his brakes failed.

Police say none of the injuries is life-threatening. The driver and his passenger, his 15-year-old daughter, also were being examined at a hospital.

A spokeswoman for the Metro bus system says the pickup truck struck people who had gotten off a disabled bus in Norwood and were walking toward a second bus on Friday morning.

Police say the driver will be cited for driving with a suspended license, and there may be other charges following an investigation.
