These cookies have a rich, deep flavor. With a hint of caramel taste, they are delightful something a little extra special. February 13, 2012
Ingredients
1/2 cup softened butter 1-1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 1-1/2 cup flour 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup powdered sugar Directions Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla and mix all those ingredients well. Combine flour, baking powder & salt in a separate bowl, then add to creamed mixture. Mix well & add nuts. Chill until dough is easy to handle. Form into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove cookies from sheet while still warm. To make the drizzle: Combine brown sugar & cream in small saucepan. Cook over low/medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved & mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and blend in powdered sugar until smooth. Mix until drizzle starts to thicken. Pour into Ziploc bag and cut a tiny hole in the corner of the bag. Drizzle over cookies. Got Questions?
