A Heartwarming Dish For A Cold Winter Day January 2, 2012
This is a really quick and delicious meal for a cold winter day. We stretch this chili and use the leftovers to top baked potatoes or spaghetti. This chili has terrific flavor and is a family favorite.
Ingredients 2 - 15.5 oz. Brooks Hot Chili Beans 1 - 15.5 oz. Brooks Hot & Spicy Chili Beans 1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1 med. onion (diced) 1 - 46 oz. can tomato juice 3 tablespoons parsley flakes (dried or fresh) pinch cayenne pepper seeds 1 - 15.5 oz. diced tomatoes (optional) Directions Sprinkle bottom of soup kettle w/salt (this prevents hamburger from sticking to the bottom of pan), add hamburger and onion. Brown and drain. Shake tomato juice and beans before opening. Then add to drained hamburger and onion mixture. Lastly, add parsley and Cayenne. Heat to low boil, and then turn down heat to simmer for 3-6 hours. Serve with shredded cheddar cheese if desired. Got Questions?
