Former soldier sentenced to death
March 19, 2010 3:48 PM

A former soldier has been sentenced to death for the shocking murders of three children and brutal attack on their mother two years ago near the Fort Campbell Army post.

Thirty-seven-year-old Kevin Wayne Dunlap of Hopkinsville also received multiple life sentences Friday in Livingston Circuit Court for arson and the rape of the childrens' mother, Kristy Frensley.

Dunlap pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to killing 17-year-old Kayla Williams, 14-year-old Kortney Frensley and 5-year-old Ethan Frensley in rural Trigg County in October 2008.

The Associated Press does not identify victims of sexual assault, but Kristy Frensley gave her permission Friday for her name to be used.
