from Eyewitness News Online Light snow in Ky. causes few problems February 08, 2012 9:34 AM FLEMINGSBURG, Ky.
Light snow and flurries have brought a taste of winter to the commonwealth. From a dusting to a light coating of snow was reported Wednesday morning in Louisville, Lexington and northern and eastern sections of Kentucky. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said crews were salting interstate overpasses in Rowan County Wednesday morning and treating bridges in Elliott County. All routes were being treated by priority after snow showers in Fleming, Lewis, Mason and Nicholas counties. Some schools were closed in eastern Kentucky. Dispatchers in northern Kentucky reported light snow, but no major traffic problems. The forecast for later Wednesday called for highs in the upper 30 to low 40s with rain likely in eastern counties. |
