Hurricane , Putnam County , West Virginia

Many people in the Marina Park section of Hurricane are fed up with construction in their trailer park.

Early this year, the Putnam Public Service District replaced all water and sewer lines in the Marina Park neighborhood. Those lines ran through people's property, and the water company had to tear into their yards to replace the pipes.

Seven months later, some people are upset that their property hasn't been completely put back together.

"It's been bad. You couldn't even drive in or out of here for awhile," Robert Goff, Marina Park resident, said.

Mike McNulty with Putnam PSD said they are legally required to put things back the way they were before construction began, but insisted that it would take time to address every issue in the area.

McNulty said his engineers have made a "punch list" with all of the projects that have yet to be completed, and if someone wanted to be added to it to call Putnam PSD.

"They're still working," McNulty said about his workers, "They aren't gone."

McNulty said the area has already benefited from the project. Crews paved all roadways there, and the new system should prevent water main breaks from occurring as frequently.

He didn't say when all of the projects would be done, but said they would get done eventually.
