Huntington , Cabell County , West Virginia

Huntington police said they have arrested three other people on drug charges who were at an apartment in Barboursville where a murder suspect was arrested.

Retina Morgan, 21, of Huntington, Chaymeasha Bailey, 20, of Huntington and Shawnell Wilson, 20, of Detroit are charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver, according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department.

Police said the arrests on Thursday were in addition to the arrest of Spanish Smith on a murder charge. Smith was wanted in connection with the June 23 murder of Eugene Walmsley, who was shot to death on Eighth Avenue. This is the second arrest made in connection with Walmsley's murder in the past few days. Timothy Anderson, 46, was arrested earlier this week. Police said he witnessed the shooting and helped the suspects hide from police.

In addition to the three drug arrests from the apartment, police said Joseph L. Cook was arrested after he left the apartment on Nash Street in a yellow cab. Police said Cook had about 15 grams of heroin on him when stopped on U.S. 60 by Barboursville police and West Virginia State Police.

Search warrant executed on Nash St. uncovered a small amount of Heroin, implements of distribution of drug, several hundred dollars, and one loaded SKS rifle. Further charges may be pending as the investigation continues.

The arrests of Cook, Morgan, Bailey and Wilson were made by the Huntington Violent Crimes Task Force and the Barboursville Police Department.
