A North Charleston neighborhood is on high alert.
"This world is getting worse and worse," Roger Vannoy, a man living in the area, said.
On Wednesday night, two men entered a home on Fourth Avenue. Police said the suspects zip-tied the hands of the man inside and covered his head.
Police said the suspects got away with prescription medicines.
"I think it happens everywhere. If somebody finds out you have a drugs, they're going to come after you," Vannoy said.
Vannoy lives just next door to where this home invasion took place. Not only was he shocked at the situation, but also shocked that the two crooks posed as police officers to get inside.
However, Vannoy said he understands the victims point of view, and he too would have opened the door.
The home is surrounded by several homes and yards away from a playground.
One neighbor, who has grandchildren living with her, said she's on high alert.
Her big concern is "that they would put the kids in danger."
it's a concern many people didn't have a few nights ago.
"It's just scary to think that you're not safe in your own home. You know because you should be safe in your own home," one neighbor said.
As police continue to investigate this incident, neighbors hope the victims are doing OK.
"He hadn't been feeling real good. And the man who lives with him, he's been in the hospital so I feel for them," Vannoy said.
Police said the suspects are two white men.
One is about 5'8" with blonde hair, and the other is about 5 '0" with red hair. Both men weigh around 160 pounds.
If you know anything that could help the investigation, you're asked to call police.
