Scioto County Sheriff's Office On The Hunt For Bank Robbery Person Of Interest

SOUTH WEBSTER, Ohio. (Kaylin Searles) -- The Scioto County Sheiriff’s Office is investigating a robbery in the South Webster Ohio area.

The robbery occurred Monday afternoon at the Citizen Bank located at 110 North Jackson St.

Sheriff Donini said his office responded to a call from the alarm company stating that the bank had been robbed.

Dispatch was able to make contact with the bank, who stated that a male subject wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans a black mask or bandanna along with a black billed ball cap. The male was tall and thin. He came into the bank demanding an undisclosed amount of money, indicating that he had a weapon.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies and detectives were able to determine that the male subject walked down North Jackson Street from the 140 direction and entered the front door of the bank. The male started on foot and was picked up by another subject in a dark, older model vehicle with front end damage.

The male subject was seen getting out of the vehicle, parked on McDonald Street, and proceeded towards the bank.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Detectives are requesting if anybody has seen the suspect or vehicle to please contact the Sheriff's Office and not to approach the vehicle.
