KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (Katy Brown) -- It was a lesson three people in Kanawha County learned pretty quick.
"If you're thinking about breaking into a facility, I would not choose one of ours," Aimee Roberts, of Capitol Mini Storage, said.
Charleston Police arrested Erica Hight, Fredrick Wisen and John Linkenauger on Friday.
Police said the trio is responsible for busting into two units at Capitol Mini Storage in Kanawha City.
And with new management at the storage site, security was a top priority. Roberts said the business spent over $45,000 on a security system with Stealth Monitoring.
There are a total of 13 cameras on the property watching the ground 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And, to go along with that, there's someone always monitoring the cameras.
Roberts said on Friday, the money paid for itself.
Around 3 a.m. Friday, after police said the two men cut through this fence, the person monitoring the cameras saw Wisen and Linkenauger walking through the storage units.
"Any time after business hours there's suspicious activity, they alert us and they'll dispatch the police," Roberts said. " We have alarms that will go off and if they don't scatter from then they'll dispatch the police."
Charleston Police caught and arrested the men rather quickly.
Police found Hight hiding in the front of a car nearby, and said she admitted to police she was waiting for Wisen and Linkenauger.
The group did manage to cut the locks off two storage units, but didn't get away with anything.
For anyone thinking of pulling a similar stunt, Roberts said to think again.
"We will not put up with it. We value our customers and our business and we do everything that we can to protect them," she said.
New locks were provide for the renters whose units were broken into.
