NITRO, W.Va. (Leslie Rubin) -- Parents were on high alert in Nitro Wednesday night, after two young girls unknowingly captured a picture of a man who they said later exposed himself to them, and tried to follow them home.

The only problem is, they don't know who the man is. They're hoping a partial description of his car and a blurry picture though could trigger someone's memory and help stop a potential predator.

They went down to the boat dock just like the always do, to take pictures, but Saturday wasn't a normal day. April Burke's daughter and her friend were being teenagers, goofing off and taking pictures, when they said a man exposed himself to them and circled several times around the block, trying to follow them home.

But this case is unique. After the girls got home, they realized they had a valuable piece of evidence to back them up.

"She didn't realize until later that she had the picture," Burke said

In the back of one of the photos, you can see the man in question. It's blurry, but police said it's valuable evidence they can use against him.

Police say this piece of evidence could result in indecent exposure charges. They just need help finding out who he is.

The girls told police he was driving a small gray car, with either a West Virginia or Kentucky license plate. They said the last three digits were 924, and on the front plate there is a sports logo

Police say they have stepped up patrols in the area of the boat dock, and other places kids frequent, hoping to track the man down.
