SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) -- Bond was set at $500,000 for a man who turned himself in to police after he was sought in connection with a South Charleston shooting.

Terrance Brown made his initial appearance Wednesday in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. Brown and Ashley Workman, 19, of South Charleston are charged in connection with the wounding of Jason Noel Flester, who was shot Tuesday in the Carmen Drive and Staunton Avenue area, according to criminal complaints filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Brown is charged with attempted murder. Workman is charged with conspiracy to commit malicious wounding.

Police had taken Workman into custody, but Brown had been sought by police. Brown called South Charleston police, however, and he was picked up in Institute. Police brought out dogs to search on Valley Drive for the gun used in the shooting, but no weapon was located.

Meanwhile, Workman posted $25,000 bond and was released from jail.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two people have been charged in connection with a South Charleston shooting.

Terrance Brown, 26, and Ashley Workman, 19, of South Charleston are charged in connection with the wounding of Jason Noel Flester, who was shot Tuesday in the Carmen Drive and Staunton Avenue area, according to criminal complaints filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Brown is charged with malicious wounding and attempted murder. Workman is charged with conspiracy to commit malicious wounding. Police are seeking Brown.

Court records said there was a feud between Workman and Flester over money. A witness said Workman provided her friend, Brown, with a gun, and he shot Flester.

Flester was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries sustained from being shot, according to a news release from the South Charleston Police Department. While processing the scene, detectives recovered seven fired .380 shell casings in the area Flester was shot.

Workman was arrested Tuesday evening without incident and was issued a $25,000 bond when she was arraigned, police said.
