High School Graduation Ceremonies Scheduled This Week In Kanawha County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) – It is graduation week in Kanawha County this week as all eight high schools will be conducting ceremonies.

Two commencements are scheduled for Monday. St. Albans High School’s graduation ceremony is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center, while Nitro High School’s commencement is set for 7 p.m. at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium.

On Wednesday, South Charleston High School’s graduation is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center. Sissonville High School is also set that day, with a ceremony at 7 p.m. Charleston Municipal Auditorium.

Meanwhile, Capital High School’s graduation is 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Charleston Civic Center. Herbert Hoover High School’s commencement also is set that day, with a 7 p.m. start at Charleston Municipal Auditorium.

Commencement ceremonies in Kanawha County wrap up on Friday with Riverside High School’s ceremony scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center and George Washington High School’s ceremony at 7 p.m. at Municipal Auditorium.

In Putnam County, graduation ceremonies will be conducted later and will observe the following schedule:

* Buffalo High School, 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, Buffalo High School Gymnasium.

* Hurricane High School, 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, Charleston Civic Center.

* Poca High School, 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, Charleston Municipal Auditorium.

* Winfield High School, 7 p.m., Thursday, June 5, Charleston Municipal Auditorium.

* Putnam County Technical Center, 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, National Guard Armory, Eleanor.

* GED Graduation, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, Putnam County Technical Center, Eleanor.
