LODI N.J. (Mamie Buoy, Associated Press) - A New Jersey man accused of murdering his estranged wife and then fleeing with the couple's two young sons has been arrested.

Police say 47-year-old John Jordan stabbed 39-year-old Tracy Jordan to death. Her body was found in her Lodi home after a concerned family member called police to request a welfare check.

An Amber Alert was issued after police say John Jordan picked up the couple's 7-and 8-year old sons from school. Police say John Jordan and the two boys were found early Saturday after arriving at a relative's home in Greenville, South Carolina in Tracy Jordan's car. The children were unharmed.

John Jordan is charged with murder and possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

LODI, N.J. (Mamie Buoy) - New Jersey State Police have issued an Amber Alert for two children they said were kidnapped by their father and could be headed to West Virginia.

Police said John Jordan, 47, took his sons, Nicholas Jordan, 8, and Anthony Jordan, 7, from Wilson Elementary School in Lodi, N.J on Friday.

Investigators said they could be headed to West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina or South Carolina.

John Jordan is said to be driving a black Honda Civic or a 2012 gray Honda Accord, with NJ plates Z56-CDJ.

Anthony Jordan is a 3'7" tall and 50 pounds. Nicholas Jordan is 3'10" tall and 60 pounds. Both boys were wearing their school uniform: a maroon colored shirt and khaki pants.

An ABC affiliate in New York reported that the boys' mother was found stabbed to death.

Anybody with information on John Jordan or the two children should call their local police department or 911.
