Early Voting For WV Primary Opens Wednesday, April 30

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) – Early voting for the West Virginia primary opens Wednesday, April 30.

A news release from Kanawha County Clerk Vera McCormick said early voting will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday; from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 3, and Saturday, May 10.

Voting will be at the Voter Registration Office at the corner of Court and Quarrier streets.

Parking will be available on Quarrier Street at the Voter Registration Office. In addition, parking will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday on the County Parking Building.

Cabell County early voting is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Some new information for voters this year., Cabell County Clerk Karen Cole said if you are registered with the Democrat, Republican, Mountain or Libertarian parties you have to vote in that party.

But if you are in any other party, such as Independent, Non-Partisan or Green, you can vote on any ballot. Cole said in order to do that you must request it.

Early voting runs until May 10.
