HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Tiersa Davis)-- Huntington Police have released the name of a man who was shot Friday evening.

Police said Clarence Jones, 23, suffered a gunshot wound to the forearm. St. Mary's Medical Center reported to police that the victim had arrived with the injury at about 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police said the victim told them the shooting took place at a home at #36 27th Street. Police said they found evidence of the shooting and the forensics unit processed the scene. Police said they interviewed witnesses and do not believe the shooting was intentional.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting but a man was arrested at the scene for unrelated charges. Police said this incident is unrelated to a homicide which took place at the same home in December. Police will continue to investigate.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Dan Matics) -- Huntington Police are on the scene of a shooting and the forensics team is on the way.

It all happened around 9:30 Friday evening after someone called 911 and said there was a shooting. That person then hung up.

Police tracked the phone to a house on 27th Street and Latulle Ave. This is the same house a murder took place at around Christmas.

Inside that home police found a gun, casings, and blood.

While detectives searched the home and area, a victim showed up to St. Mary's Medical Center with a non-life threatening gun shot wound.

A man who witnessed the shooting fled the scene. Detectives caught up with him and took him in for questioning.

Right now, police do not have a suspect.
