ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (Kennie Bass) - For more more than three and a half years, Teri and Dan Blevins have been selling delicious desserts under their banner, Lil' Bit of Heaven Cupcakes.

Through social media and word of mouth, their business has boomed.

Now, they're receiving national recognition.

The DailyMeal.com, a major food and drink website with more than eight million unique visitors a month, has named the "101 Best Cupcakes In America."

Lil' Bit of Heaven comes in at number 24 on the list.

"I had no idea that it was going to be that big of a deal until I actually read the article and I was just thrilled," Teri Blevins said.

With no storefront, Blevins sells her treats through direct orders from Facebook and her website.

She's also partnered with several retail locations, including Musical Grounds at Capitol Market.

"Well. we were always looking for exceptional products to sell in our shop," Joseph Dangerfield, the owner of Musical Grounds said. "We're a non-GMO, non-artificial foods company, farm-to-table essentially, and this was an excellent addition to our product line. I have a group of people that are in here daily, what does she have today? They'll buy three for four, sometimes they'll buy a dozen sometimes just one or two."

Teri Blevins said when she and her husband started their business, she never dreamed it would take off like it has. Recognition from The Daily Meal is literally icing on the cake.

"It's just a reflection of the quality we try every day to make sure that goes out the door," Teri Blevins said. "And you know, you have those days when you're tired and you're just not sure if you're doing maybe, still what you should be doing. That's just a huge re-affirmation for us that we're doing what we are meant to be doing."

You can find Teri's Blevin's delights on Facebook or at www.lilbitofheavencupcakes.com.

Her retail locations are Musical Grounds at Capitol Market, Four Brothers Coffee & Tea House in St. Albans, The Greenhouse in Teays Valley, Donut Connection on Bigley Avenue in Charleston and Scriptures Cafe in Kanawha City.
