SHREWSBURY, W.Va. (Dave Benton) -- More than 100 people are being evicted from a trailer park in Kanawha County.

Eyewitness News looked at how the forced move is affecting some residents.

When Sue Lynn Pomeroy found out she has to move out of the Royal Mobile Home Park in Shrewsbury, her world came crashing down.

“What am I going to do?” she said. “I'm handicapped. I can't move without help from fiancé, or my daughter helping me.”

Pomeroy and about 100 other residents who live at the park got the eviction notice in March, and have until the middle of June to pack up and move their mobile homes out of the park.

“I live on a limited income,” Pomeroy said. “Where's the money going to come from?”

It's still unclear why the Twin Hills Incorporated is no longer leasing the trailer park, but some residents said they believe it's because the owner wants to sell the property. Regardless, the bad news is not only shocking, but a big concern for people who live there.

“It breaks my heart, honestly,” Sierra Lowery said. “I have so many memories down here. A lot of my friends around here left. Still, this is a part of my childhood. Now I'm going to have to up and leave it, in 90 days, going to be gone.”

According to the notice, tenants are told until the trailer is moved, they're responsible for the next two months rent. Their deposit will pay for the third month.

For Pomeroy, it's more than inconvenient.

“People are going to have to lose or move their homes,” she said. “What am i going to do? I just don't know.”

Eyewitness News tried to get in contact with the land owner, Lacynda Moore, to find out exactly why people have to move, but had not received a reply as of airtime.
