CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Stefano DiPietrantonio & Mamie Buoy) - Charleston Police have potential new leads in what's becoming a week-long investigation. The latest in a string of shootings on Charleston's West Side. Charleston Police searched a home in the 900-block of Orchard Street, which could have connections to the shootings from Monday and Tuesday.

Thursday night, after several hours digging through the home, police found and confiscated plenty of drug paraphernalia and some marijuana. And outside, there was a stunning find. An AK-47 assault rifle in the trunk of a car parked there. In the driveway, police also found a loaded bullet casing, which they believe will match the handgun seized at the Little Page Apartments Monday night.

Police said the person who lives there was not cooperating with them and offering any information about the person or persons who frequent the house.

Deputies said they have had several drug complaints from neighbors about the property, and also believe any number of people who frequent the house, could be connected to the shootings. Police arrested two men, Aric Adams and Justin Davis on Tuesday.

Police said they fired eight shots along Red Oak Street Tuesday afternoon, then took off. You'll recall, Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary School was on lock down, as deputies took both men into custody. Officers said Adams and Davis were seeking revenge. Apparently Monday, Davis' mother's car got shot-up and his cousin was hit by a bullet in the shoulder. Neighbors said they are fed up with all the drug traffic they're seeing here.

"I've lived here all my life and my parents lived here," said Tammy Shamblin. "On our little quiet part of the street, this is the trouble house. So, the rest of us are just upset because we work really hard and we have our homes and we're exposed to this. You just don't feel safe."

So far, neither man has admitted to doing anything connected to the incident. Adams and Davis are both being held in the South Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond. Police are still searching for a third man Levi Carter.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Kera Mashek) A neighborhood remains on edge following two days of shooting sprees.

At least eight shots were fired on Red Oak Street on Charleston's west side Tuesday afternoon. The two suspects involved led police on a chase that ended near Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary School. That duo is now facing wanton endangerment charges, and all of it is apparently tied to three incidents in the same area that happened Monday night.

Police say Justin Davis and Aric Adams had just one thing on their mind when they started shooting up Red Oak Tuesday: retalliation. Driving that alleged motive--Davis' family members were victims of west side shootings Monday.

Walking in handcuffs, Justin Davis wasn't ready to admit to anything.

Eyewitness News asked "Why were you out shooting up the West Side today?"

"No ma'am," Davis said.

"Was it retalliation for things that happened yesterday?"

"Just pray for me," said Davis.

His accused partner in crime was silent.

Police say Davis was angry because Monday night, his mother's car was shot up on the west side and his cousin was injured from being hit with a bullet. So he and Adams apparently fired back by getting in a car together and shooting off eight rounds down Red Oak street Tuesday afternoon.

Several witnesses reported seeing Davis behind the wheel and Adams holding a handgun out the car window. They hit a house, but no one was hurt.

"Very dangerous and alarming what these guys were doing," said Lt. Steve Cooper with the Charleston Police Department.

When police got to the neighborhood, Davis and Adams sped off, leading them on a chase through the west side. It ended near Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary, which was put on lockdown. Parents arriving to pick up their kids were worried to see more than a hundred officers surrounding the neighborhood without prior warning.

"We're not getting notified until it's way too late, so I'm yanking my son out of this school," one parent said.

Other parents were glad the school was cautious and kept kids inside.

"Keep the kids safe, right. They should do it all the time," said parent Lawrence Pannell.

Still, neighbors insist their community needs to be better patrolled.

"They supposed to be up there every hour on the hour. If they'd been up there like they should, they would've never come off the West Side Hill," a neighbor said.

But many in the west side are glad at least the pair police think are responsible for Tuesday's chaos are now in custody.

Adams and Davis are both being held on $25,000 cash only bond. But police are still looking for another suspect and another man, Levi Carter, who is considered a person of interest.

Police think those two are connected to three separate shooting scenes on the west side Monday. The first shooting scene was along Little Page Terrace, just off West Washington Street just after 10:30 p.m.

The second incident happened on Washington Street. Police got the call for that shooting around 11:45 p.m. That's where Charleston Police said two cars were shooting back and forth at each other. Police found casings from a 9 mm handgun on the ground.

The third incident happened on Rebecca Street. That's where police said a woman stopped them and said her car had been shot at and hit multiple times while she was on West Avenue. She was not hurt.

If you have any information that can help find Levi Carter or anyone else who might be involved, call Charleston Police.
