PINCH, W.Va. (Bob Aaron, Jeff Morris) -- A fire that ripped through a mobile home in the Pinch area area destroyed the structure.

The blaze was reported about 11:30 a.m. Monday on Jarrett Heights Road.

The owner of the mobile home, Burl Melton, was not at the residence at the time of the blaze. He said he returned and saw smoke, but he was driven back by the flames when he tried to enter. Firefighters said the trailer was half gone when they arrived.

A small brush fire resulted from the blaze, and a propane tank also caught on fire. Firefighters were still on the scene at about 1 p.m., but the blaze was mostly extinguished except for a few hot spots.

The Pinch and Clendenin volunteer fire departments responded to the call.

ELKVIEW, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) -- Metro 911 said emergency crews were responding to a fire at a mobile home in Elkview.

The blaze was reported about 11:30 a.m. Monday on Jarrett Heights Road, an emergency dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported.

The dispatcher said the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department was responding to the blaze.
