CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) -- Interstate 77 north near the split in Charleston has reopened following an 11-vehicle crash, Metro 911 said.
The accident happened about 6:a.m. Monday near West Virginia American Water. An emergency dispatcher said the accident had closed the highway near the Greenbrier Street exit.
At least two injuries were reported.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) -- Metro 911 reported Monday that Interstate 77 north in Charleston near the split with Interstate 64 remained shut down following a wreck that involved 11 vehicles.
An emergency dispatcher said the roadway was still shut down about 7:20 a.m.
At least two people were injured in that crash.
Several accidents were reported Monday morning in the area on roads that became wet and slushy after 4 to 6 inches of snow. An early morning accident also occurred on I-77 south near the Leon Sullivan exit. No injuries were reported in that accident. Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 79 north near Elkview. No injuries were reported in that wreck, an emergency dispatcher said. Near the same area, a single vehicle crash on I-79 was reported. No injuries were involved in that accident.

At least two injuries are reported.
An emergency dispatcher said the interstate is closed at the Greenbrier Street exit, and emergency crews have also asked that the Smith Street entrance ramp also be closed.

The wreck occurred about 6 a.m. near the I-77-Interstate 64 split, an emergency dispatcher said.
At least two injuries were reported. An emergency dispatcher said multiple vehicles were involved due to slick conditions that caused motorists to slide and crash into other vehicles.
