Suspect Arrested In Chase Bank Robbery

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Heath Harrison) -- Police said Friday night that they have arrested a suspect in the robbery of a bank In Huntington.

A man walked into the Chase Bank on Fifth Huntington Friday afternoon and produced a gun.

Police said the suspect, Charles Henderson, 58, was arrested at 9 p.m. in the 900 block of Sixth Avenue.

Henderson said he was a veteran, homeless and "just had to roll the dice.”
Henderson was taken before a magistrate Friday night.




HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Heath Harrison) – Huntington police said they don't believe the suspect in a Huntington bank robbery on Friday is still in the building.

Police said they are continuing to check throughout the Chase Bank building on Fifth Avenue as a precaution.




HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Heath Harrison) – A Cabell 911 dispatcher said no arrests have been made in a robbery at the Chase Bank on Fifth Avenue in Huntington, and police do not know whether the robber is still inside the building.

The dispatcher said some employees are still inside the building and they have shut their doors.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Tiersa Davis)-- Huntington Police have closed the streets surrounding the scene of a bank robbery Friday and are urging drivers and walkers to avoid the area.

Fifth Avenue and Fourth Avenue from 10th Street and 11th Street and 10th Street to 11th Street is closed.

The Chase Bank on Fifth Avenue was reportedly robbed by an armed suspect about 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Police are still on the scene and are asking people to avoid the area.




HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Heath Harrison) – Dispatchers said a man robbed a bank in Huntington on Friday.

A man entered the Chase Bank on Fifth Avenue and produced a gun at about 3:42 p.m. Police said they were unsure if the suspect was still in the building.

Police and multiple agencies have surrounded the bank.
