Deputies Investigating Stabbing In Mink Shoals

MINK SHOALS, W.Va. (Mamie Buoy) - A man is behind bars accused of stabbing another man during a fight at a bar in Mink Shoals.

Troopers say Michael Hardway got into a fight with another man at the Elk River Bar and Grill on Pennsylvania Avenue early Saturday morning. Hardway allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.

Troopers say Hardway tried to leave the bar after he stabbed the man, but witnesses were able to stop him.

The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

Hardway was also taken to the hospital for injuries he suffered during the fight. He was arrested once he was released Saturday afternoon.

Hardway is charged with malicious wounding.




MINK SHOALS, W.Va. (Mamie Buoy) - A man is in the hospital after an early morning stabbing in Mink Shoals.

Dispatchers say it happened in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at the Elk River Bar & Grill shortly after 1:00 a.m. Saturday.

At this time, it is unclear if anybody has been arrested.
