CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Bethany Simmons, Leslie Rubin) - A second arrest has been made in connection with the murder of a St. Albans woman.

Shawn Michael Legg, 32, of St. Albans was arrested Tuesday evening. He will be charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Legg was named in the criminal complaint filed against suspect Jessica Woods, who was charged with first-degree murder on Monday. Jessica Woods is the daughter of Eva Woods.

Legg previously told deputies he had been dating Jessica Woods for two and half weeks. Legg was arraigned Tuesday evening on the accessory after the fact to murder charge.

In a news release issued Wednesday, Kanawha County sheriff's deputies said Jessica Woods alleged that she told Legg about the murder. He then disposed of an item used as a weapon against Eva Woods, the news release said.

Deputies said Legg had been living with Jessica Woods at the house on West Main Street belonging to Eva Woods.

Legg was arraigned by Kanawha County Magistrate Ward Harsbarger and received a bond of $45,000 property or 10 percent cash.

Although there have been arrests in the case, the sheriff's office said detectives are still investigating the murder and the events surrounding it. Anyone with information is asked to call 304-357-0169 or submit a tip on the sheriff's office website
