KENOVA, W.Va. (Darrah Wilcox) -- Joshua Blair says battling more than five years of drug addiction was brutal. "I was out just taking anything I could stealing it, pawning it, stealing from my family, anything to get high, just to get my next fix, anything," he said.

Blair got a phone call from a man named Rocky Meadows while he was in jail that changed his life. Meadows founded Lifehouse WV, a recovery program for drug and alcohol. He invited Blair to stay at his recovery farm in Wayne County.

Blair said he was skeptical but knew it had to be better than jail. He said it was time for a change. "I was past ready. Way past ready," he said.

The Lifehouse, a faith-based 12-step program, opened its Wayne facility last year.

"It doesn't only show you how to live sober and not use drugs and alcohol, this sets the foundation for the rest of your life, in every aspect of your life," said Trenton Varney, who runs the program at the farm.

Having gone through the program himself, Varney said he can connect with the men on a whole different level. "Seeing guys come through these doors, as hopeless as I was, they've lost everything. They're beaten down and broken, and to see them transformed in such a short amount of time, this program is so rewarding." he said.

Blair is one of three participants who graduated from treatment Monday, and he said he's anxious to reenter the world as a more productive citizen. "I'll be able to get out there and support my family, support my son. Be able to take care of anything I need to take care of. I've got God on my side now," he said.

He's turning the page on a new, sober chapter in his life.
