ROSEDALE, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) – State Police said a check on a possible methamphetamine laboratory in Gilmer County led them to arrest a woman and her boyfriend on multiple charges.

Dixie Helmic, 35, of Rosedale is charged with wanton endangerment and possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release from State Police. Her live-in boyfriend, David White, 22, of Delbarton, is charged with obstructing an officer, providing false information to the State Police, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and failure to register with the Sex Offender Registry, State Police said.

State Police said a trooper from the Glenville detachment on Friday responded to a complaint about a possible meth lab at Helmic’s residence in Rosedale.
No meth lab was found, but the trooper received information that Helmic allegedly had fired a pistol at houses in the immediate area. State Police said the trooper secured the pistol as evidence and discovered that it had been reported as stolen. Marijuana and meth also were discovered after a vehicle was searched, the release said.

Both suspects were arrested on multiple charges, were arraigned in Gilmer County Magistrate Court and were transported to Central Regional Jail.
