ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (Bob Aaron, Jeff Morris, Leslie Rubin) -- A woman charged in the murder of her mother told an acquaintance after the death that "she couldn't take it anymore and went a little too far," according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Jessica Woods, 36, is charged with murder in connection with the death of Eva Linda Woods, 59, whose body was found Sunday in an outbuilding behind her home on West Main Street in the St. Albans area.

The criminal complaint said a detective with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office interviewed Aunna DeMoss, who said she was with Jessica Woods on Sunday. She said that Jessica told her that she was scared and asked DeMoss to get a motel room for her. DeMoss said she agreed, but prior to going to the motel room, DeMoss wanted to look for Eva Woods. She walked the area, and Jessica Woods followed her, but DeMoss said Woods "wasn't even looking and wasn't interested."

Later, the two went to the Holiday Inn Express in Cross Lanes, where DeMoss claims Jessica Woods told her "she couldn't take it no more, didn't mean for it to happen."

During the course of the investigation, detectives said they learned that a Woods, who appeared to be under the influence, tried to withdraw $2,000 from the City National Bank in St. Albans, but the bank refused because her name was not listed on the joint account. She later produced the documents to the bank, and she was allowed to withdraw the money.

A body of an adult female was discovered Sunday in an outbuilding behind the house. No positive identification of the body has been made yet, and the body was sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

Jessica Woods lived at the home with Eva Linda Woods. Jessica Woods was out of jail on bond in connection with a burglary charge in Kanawha County. The charge involves the theft of some tools from a residence on Coal River Road.
