CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris) -- Charleston police were asking for the public’s help in finding two suspects they said were involved in a robbery at the M&M Mart in Kanawha City.

The two suspects entered the store, located at 3226 MacCorkle Ave. about 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department.

Police said the Hispanic male asked the use the restroom, and the white male stayed at the front of the store by the front register/counter. The white male approached the counter as if he was going to purchase something. The Hispanic male exited the restroom and walked behind the counter and demanded all the money, police said. The Hispanic male indicated to the clerk he had a weapon.

The suspects then left the store and ran toward the alley, behind the M&M Mart. The suspects then entered a maroon Buick Rendezvous and headed toward the interstate on 36th Street.

Police described one of the suspects as a white male, white T-shirt, jeans, tattoos on his arm and neck, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, black T-shirt, blue jeans, Chicago Bulls hat, about 6 feet inches tall and weighing 240 pounds.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact the Charleston Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, 304-348-6480.
