Timothy Westfall II, 24,of Madison and Dustin Gard were arrested in connection with the incident Thursday night. It happened about 9:15 p.m. at a home in the 2600 block of Furlong Avenue. Westfall was charged with being a fugitive from justice, first degree robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, wanton endangerment involving a firearm, conspiracy to commit a felony and night time burglary, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Westfall and Gard reportedly barged into the home of Felicia Miller and James Sutherland, showed a hammer and a High Point 45 ACP handgun and demanded prescription medication and money, according to the complaint. Westfall apparently held the gun to Miller's head and held Sutherland at gunpoint while Gard went to retrieve the medication Patrolman Dwight D. Meadows said. The two also took money from the residence.

Meadows said officers caught up with Westfall a short time later and just a few blocks from the scene of the crime. Westfall walked up to officers and admitted that he was the one they were looking for, Meadows said. He then showed officers where had dumped the gun after he climbed a fence after the robbery.

No injuries were reported in the incident. If you have any information, call St. Albans Police at 304-727-2252.
