CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Katy Brown) --Tama Gordon reached out to a Facebook group saying her area was in need of water. And just a few hours later, West Virginia Clean Water Hub made not only one, but two stop with trucks full of water.

A Charleston community comes together as many people in the area say they won't drink the tap water.

"If people in your area don't help each other," Gordon said. "There's no one else that's going to help us."

And that's where the West Virginia Clean Water Hub comes in.

It started as a Facebook group made up of several different organizations just wanting to help. And there was no hesitation to take action as soon as the do-not-use ban went into place.

"It was an immediate thing that popped up the day after the announcement," Elise Keaton, with West Virginia Clean Water Hub, said. "We just responded to that as best we could."

With thousands of dollars in donations, West Virginia Clean Water Hub was able to buy water, hand sanitizer, wipes, and more. All available for those who still need it.

Several people stopped at the distribution point set up at the North Charleston Community Center on Friday.

Jeff Shuler said he still won't drink the water and he's thankful to this group for helping him out.

"Well if they're doing it in the cold, they're good people," Shuler said. "There's nothing more than a good person right now."

And while the do-not-use ban was lifted days ago, Gordon and the West Virginia Clean Water Hub said the need for clean water is still there.

"This isn't over," Gordon said. "Just because they say it's clean, it's not. There's people that's still getting sick from it."

West Virginia Clean Water Hub plans to keep handing out water for as long as the need is there.

If you would like to see where the West Virginia Clean Water Hub will be next, just head on over to their Facebook page. Also if your area is in need, you can reach out while your on their page and send them a message.

If you still need water, here are sites that will be distributing water Saturday:
- Kanawha-Charleston Health Department, noon to 5 p.m.
- Redeemer Lutheran Church in Southridge from noon to 5 p.m.
- Marmet Volunteer Fire Department, noon to 5 p.m.
- Shawnee Park in Institute, 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Crossings Mall in Elkview, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
