With just four words, Ashland native Jesse Cline, 19, got one step closer to realizing his dream of a professional singing career.

"You're going to Hollywood!"

Cline got a coveted "golden ticket" on this week's American Idol auditions.

"I just freaked out! I asked Jennifer Lopez for a hug. I ran out the door just screaming. It was awesome. It was awesome," Cline said.

It took American Idol judges just seconds to recognized the talent Cline's mom said he was born with.

"I think he was singing right when he was born. I think when he was crying it was in tune," his mom, Shea Horton, said.

Cline said it was "unbelievable" to perform in front of the judges. He said have all accomplished what he hopes to in his career.

All three judges present, including Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick, Jr. and Keith Urban, gave Cline strong praise.

Cline's Atlanta audition aired Thursday night on the 13th season of American Idol.

"It was unlike any feeling I've ever had before really. It's just so many eyes in that moment looking right at me!" he said.

While he couldn't say how he performed during Hollywood week just yet, Cline said he hopes just seeing how far he's come so far will inspire others to go after their own dreams.

"There's no reason if I can, that you can't. Absolutely," he said.

You can watch American Idol Wednesdays and Thursdays on WVAH-TV.
