JACKSON'S MILL, W.Va. (AP) -- The West Fork River is being searched for evidence in the 2012 slaying of a Buckhannon man.

West Virginia State Police Cpl. M.S. Clark tells media outlets that the search is being conducted by state police and an FBI dive team between Weston and Jackson's Mill in Lewis County.

Twenty-nine-year-old Joshua Oberg's body was found in a shallow grave in a remote area of Upshur County in July 2012.

Three people were charged in connection with Oberg's death.

Robert Eugene Siron III of Weston pleaded guilty in December to voluntary manslaughter and conspiracy to conceal a body. He was sentenced to a total 16 years in prison.

His co-defendants, 29-year-old Jessie Lee Heater of Buckhannon and 33-year-old Rodolpho Villagomez "Chino" Correa of Buckhannon, are awaiting trial.
