Cross Lanes , Kanawha County , West Virginia

Kanawha County deputies have identified the man they said was shot in Cross Lanes early Thursday.

Carlo Gray, 22, of St. Albans was shot in the leg. While deputies were responding to the shooting scene, a Nitro police officer stopped a minivan at the Cross Lanes Interstate 64 interchange. Deputies said Gray was inside that van. He was taken to a Charleston hospital for treatment.

The shooting happened after a reported fight at the Appetizer's Restaurant and Lounge on Goff Mountain Road about 2:30 a.m.

Callers to Metro 911 reported fighting both inside and outside the bar.

Deputies said several vehicles and structures were struck by gunfire.

Detectives were asking anyone with information to call them at 304-357-0169.

One man was being treated at a Charleston hospital after being shot during a bar fight early Thursday morning.

State Police said the shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. outside Appetizers Restaurant & Lounge on Goff Mountain Road. A police officer said he spotted a vehicle leaving from the bar at a high rate of speed, with a busted out rear view window. The vehicle was pulled over by police as it tried to merge on to Interstate 64, officers said.

Once stopped, officers said they noticed the passenger was suffering from a gunshot wound. Witnesses told police that during a private party, two girls left the bar to fight, and then they heard several gunshots ring out. The scene was littered with at least 30 bullet casings.

Officers have identified at least four guns involved in the shooting. No suspects have been found. The Kanwaha County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
