Car Dealership Holding Toy Drive To Benefit WVU Children's Hospital

A Nicholas County car dealership wants to make sure that kids who have to stay in the hospital have a nice holiday.

Northside Chevrolet in Summersville is conducting a toy drive for West Virginia University Children’s Hospital through Dec. 14.

The dealership is collecting new unwrapped toys and other supplies (such as blankets, socks, bibs, books and clothing) for kids of all ages.

"They've helped a lot of kids in our area, so we do want to give back," said Stevie Lerose, sales manager for Northside Chevrolet, of WVU Children's Hospital . "It's a great organization. They do a lot of really good stuff, We know that these kids have got to spend Christmas is the hospital, and we want to do something to make it eventful for them."

Anyone who brings in a donation through Dec. 14 will be entered to win $500 cash. They also can register to win one of two Power Wheels Corvette Stingrays. Santa Claus also will be at the dealership Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. Collected toys will be donated to the hospital before Christmas.
