Fayetteville, Fayette County , West Virginia

Fayette County deputies said a Beckley man is facing 40 felony sex-related charges for alleged incidents with a female juvenile.

Issac Thompson Broyles, 26, was arrested after he voluntarily turned himself in to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies received a report in April 2013 that a 14 or 15-year-old female juvenile from the Ansted area was possibly involved in a relationship with an adult male from the Beckley area. The juvenile was interviewed and investigators sent the victim’s computer and cell phone to the West Virginia State Police and Marshall University for analysis. Using this information, the suspect was identified.

On Thursday afternoon, investigators from the sheriff’s office, the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, the FBI, the West Virginia State Police Crimes against Children Unit and the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the troopers from the Beckley detachment, executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence. Deputies said they believe the criminal activity occurred in Raleigh and Fayette counties.

Broyles is charged with one count of third-degree sexual assault, one count of use of a minor in filming sexually explicit conduct, 10 counts of distribution of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and 28 counts of soliciting a minor via computer.

Broyles was arraigned in Fayette County Magistrate Court and was released on an $80,000 bond.
