Port Clinton , Ohio

Funeral services are set for a northern Ohio boy whose city put up lights and sang carols to fulfill his wish for an early Christmas.

The family of 13-year-old Devin Kohlman said a burial Mass would be celebrated Friday in Port Clinton. The teen, who had brain cancer, died Monday.

He returned home after doctors said he didn't have long to live, and his community got to work fulfilling Devin's wish of being home for his favorite holiday. The city put up a Christmas tree, and shaved ice mimicked drifting snow outside his window. Santa even showed up on a motorcycle.

Neighbors and strangers moved by the story have praised the boy and his town as inspirational in messages left in an online guestbook after his death.
