Some history buffs in Huntington took a step back in time this weekend.
The Civil War Days Thunder the in Village event marked the 152nd anniversary of the civil war battle in Guyandotte.
Weekend camps were open to the public all weekend, with battle reenactments each afternoon.
A lecture series, civil war ball, and even haunted history tours were offered.
“This is a really good program,” reenator Lauren Young said. “I'm really glad that I'm in it, and I hope to continue on with it."
Organizers hope this reenactment weekend gives visitors a better understanding of civil war history.
