Chesapeake , Lawrence County , Ohio
The Ohio Department of Highways and Transportation said a road is expected to be closed into the afternoon hours Friday as crews work to repair downed power lines.
State Route 7 in Lawrence County just east of Chesapeake is closed after a storm Friday morning knocked down utility poles and power lines. The Ohio Department of Highways and Transportation said the closure may last until the afternoon while the utility company restores the lines and makes repairs.
Drivers may want to detour to avoid the closure by taking U.S. 52 East to the 17th Street Bridge in Huntington and Sixth Street Bridge in Huntington to SR 7 at Chesapeake.
